My Nokia 6120 classic

My last day in my previous employment brought me a surprise gift by some colleagues who are quite close to me. It was a Nokia 6120 c (c for Classic).

I am still exploring the features. There are a lots of them. Shall update about them in due course.
-----------------------------------
Alas! Less than a year of use, and my highly complemented mobile started giving me troubles. First it got switched off by itself. Next it refused to ring on incoming calls. Lastly, it went dead - no amount of changing batteries, or recharging would bring it alive. It remained switched off for a couple of days. All this started after I tried to use the headset which came along with the mobile.

However, it started to work after two days. I decided that I wouldnt use the headset again. This time perhaps it was the bluetooth. A cousin had a screen-saver which I received. After a few days, the phone went dead - never to get switched on.
------------------------------------
This brings to the last chapter - getting it repaired.
I tried to get it repaired when someone told me to get it done at the Nokia workshop. However, the high price quoted sent me to local repairers. He quoted almost a third. Happily  I handed over my set to him - unable to realize that it would be the last time I would be seeing my set in almost a good condition visibly even though it was not working.
After quite a few visits to his workshop when I finally got my set, it was damaged to such an extent that I could hardly imagine.
Lesson learnt - NEVER GIVE EXPENSIVE GADGETS OUTSIDE THEIR MANUFACTURERS' WORKSHOPS.
